I'm horrified when I realise that I've become accustomed to the horrors that go on in Nigeria, and especially Iraq, and I was only shocked today reading about those people in the Church. That really got to me.

What I want to know is, why the others didn't?!

on a side note, Happy New Year to you, I hope it's better than the last!

TP, we've all become accustomed to it. We hardly bat an eyelid at these news reports these days. We've been desensitised by being exposed to the news of such horrors every day since childhood. It's "normal" to us now.

The people being burned to death in the church was particularly shocking though because no matter which faith we follow, or even if we claim to have no faith, people generally view a place of worship as sacred. Burning people to death is also a particularly shocking form of murder.

With each year that passes humankind (ironic expression) as a whole becomes more depraved in every way. 2008 will be no different.

Make the most if it anyway :o)
